Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 July 2026
Lost Sets (“we”, “us”, “the site”) is a curated DJ set discovery app at lostsets.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it.
Who we are
Lost Sets is an independently run project based in the United Kingdom. For any privacy question, contact hello@lostsets.com.
What we collect
- Email address — collected when you create an account, used only for magic-link sign-in (we never store passwords)
- Profile information you choose to add — handle, location, bio, “raving since” year, and any other profile details you fill in
- Content you create — sets you save, sets or events you tag as “I Was There”, Timeline entries, personal collections, and any links you add to your Crate
- Basic technical data — standard server logs (e.g. IP address, browser type) collected automatically by our hosting provider for security and performance, not used to build advertising profiles
We don't collect payment information at this time, as Lost Sets is currently free to use. If a paid tier is introduced in future, this policy will be updated before any payment details are collected, and a separate section will explain how that's handled.
Why we collect it
- To let you sign in and use the account features (Your Space, saved sets, Timeline, Crate)
- To show your profile and activity back to you, and — where you choose to make it public — to others
- To keep the service running securely and reliably
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who else processes it
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run Lost Sets, each processing data only on our behalf:
- Supabase — authentication and account data storage
- Airtable — content management for the set library
- Vercel — website hosting
These providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, it's under their own standard data protection safeguards.
Embedded content from other platforms
Sets on Lost Sets are played through embedded players from third-party platforms such as YouTube, SoundCloud and hearthis.at. When you play a set, that platform may set its own cookies and collect data about your viewing in line with its own privacy policy, which we don't control. If you'd rather limit this, you can adjust your browser's cookie settings or review that platform's own privacy settings.
Cookies
Lost Sets uses only the minimum cookies needed to keep you signed in (a session cookie). We don't currently use any third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Third-party embedded players may set their own cookies, as described above. If our own cookie use changes — for example, if we add analytics — this policy will be updated first.
How long we keep data
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to remove your data, we'll do so within a reasonable time, except where we're required to keep certain records by law.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data
- Export your data
To do any of this, email hello@lostsets.com.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please email hello@lostsets.com first so we can try to put it right directly. If you're not satisfied with our response, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Age
Lost Sets covers nightlife and dance music culture and isn't intended for children. You must be at least 16 to create an account.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted on this page.
