Mark Knight

Mark Knight is from London. He founded Toolroom Records in 2003 alongside his brother Stuart, and through it has been one of the most consistent figures in the UK tech-house scene for over twenty years. Toolroom has put out work by Umek, David Penn, the Martinez Brothers and dozens of others alongside Knight’s own productions. His approach to tech-house is direct and functional — the kind of music that works in a room without announcing itself. The Mark Knight b2b Gene Farris session at The Concourse Project Austin and the Capital Dance Live Ibiza 2025 set are both on this site. The output has been consistent for long enough that the consistency itself is the story.
