Hot Since 82
Hot Since 82 is Daley Padley, from Leeds. He started DJing in the late 2000s and launched Knee Deep In Sound in 2013 — a label that’s been a consistent home for the deeper end of house and tech-house, signing Adriatique among others. He’s a regular at DC10 in Ibiza and has headlined most of the major tech-house festivals. The Kappa Futur Festival set and the Sphere at Magazine London session are both on this site. The tight, percussive style that’s defined his sound since the mid-2010s holds up across both contexts. The Leeds origin matters: there’s a particular strain of direct, functional house that comes out of the north of England, and his production sits firmly in it.
