Eric Prydz
Eric Prydz is from Stockholm. He records under several names — Cirez D for darker techno, Pryda for the melodic progressive productions that anchor most of his back catalogue, EPIC for the full audiovisual concert format — and manages to be recognisable across all of them without being predictable. The EPIC HOLO show at Creamfields North in 2022 is one of the more technically ambitious productions in recent club music: a holographic concert experience built entirely around his own material. The Ultra Music Festival Miami Resistance Megastructure set is the other mode — pure DJ, enormous room, the same controlled intensity without the visual structure around it. He's also the person behind "Call on Me" (2004), which sold millions and which he has complicated feelings about. The serious work is in the EPIC concerts and the Pryda catalogue.
