Dennis Ferrer

Dennis Ferrer is from New York. He came up through the same NYC underground as Roger Sanchez and Masters At Work in the early 1990s and built a reputation as a producer before the DJ career fully took over. His Objektivity label put out his productions consistently through the 2000s. The records people know: “Hey Hey” (2008) and “Church Lady” (2010) — both proper deep house tracks built for extended play rather than radio, and both still in DJ sets fifteen years later. The Boiler Room NYC session on this site is him in his most natural context: a New York crowd, a deep house programme, and no concessions to what’s trending.
