deadmau5

deadmau5 (Joel Zimmermann) is from Niagara Falls, Ontario. He’s been releasing music since the mid-2000s and spent the late 2000s and early 2010s at the forefront of progressive house’s mainstream breakthrough — “I Remember” (2008), “Ghosts ’n’ Stuff” (2009), “Raise Your Weapon” (2011) — without making music that felt engineered for radio in the way most of his contemporaries did. The mouse-head LED rig has become one of electronic music’s most recognisable stage visuals, and his live Cube productions have been among the most technically ambitious in the genre. The VELD Music Festival 2025 Toronto set is what he does at full scale — a different brief from the studio work, but still recognisably his.

deadmau5 Live @ VELD Music Festival 2025, Toronto

A full live festival set from the mau5trap boss, still mixing the progressive-house DNA that built his catalog even as the production has scaled up to arena spectacle.
