Charlotte de Witte

Charlotte de Witte is from Ghent. She started DJing clubs in her early twenties, moved gradually toward harder techno, and by the mid-2010s had a reputation for sets that made no concessions to who was at the front of the crowd. She launched her own label, KNTXT, in 2018. She became the first woman in 23 years to headline Tomorrowland's main stage in 2019 — and then returned to close it in 2025. That's not an accident; she negotiates her own bookings and is known for declining slots that feel more decorative than real. Her sets tend to start aggressive and get more aggressive. The stuff she plays at 3am in a 1,000-capacity venue and the stuff she plays to 100,000 people at Tomorrowland are, in practice, not that different. That's a rarer thing than it sounds. The EDC Las Vegas 2026 Kinetic Field closing set is a good place to start.
