Boris Brejcha
Boris Brejcha invented a genre. He calls it hi-tech minimal — a particular way of building techno that's simultaneously spacious and dense, with melody appearing in places it shouldn't logically fit. The Venetian mask is part of the aesthetic. The music doesn't need it, but it doesn't hurt. He grew up near Stuttgart, started producing in the early 2000s, and built his following gradually — through festivals and a dedicated audience in Germany and Eastern Europe, long before the Cercle era found him. The Cercle set at Château de Fontainebleau in 2019 was the moment the wider world caught up. He's been back to Cercle multiple times since, including the Arènes de Nîmes session that is one of the better-filmed DJ sets in recent memory. He plays long — three hours is a short set — and he doesn't rush any of it. The build is the whole point. The REFLECTIONS Tour 2025 shows in Brno and beyond suggest he's still finding new territory inside his own genre.
