Adriatique
Adriatique is Adrian Shala and Adrian Schweizer, two Swiss producers from Basel. They’ve spent fifteen years building a reputation at the intersection of deep house and melodic techno — careful, atmospheric, not in a hurry. They run their own Siamese label and have released on Innervisions and Hot Since 82’s Knee Deep In Sound among others. The Cercle set at Hatshepsut Temple in Egypt and the Ultra Music Festival Miami 2024 set are both on this site. The Egypt session — filmed at a 3,500-year-old mortuary temple — is probably the more useful document: it shows what they do when the surroundings demand patience, which is when they’re at their best.
