Adam Beyer

Adam Beyer is the founding force behind Drumcode, the Stockholm techno label that has, since 1996, been one of the most consistent operations in the genre. He's from Sweden, started DJing in the early 1990s, and has spent three decades making hard-hitting, functional peak-time techno — with enough variation in tempo and atmosphere that it never quite feels like repetition. The Drumcode brand now extends to the Artists collective (often Adam Beyer b2b Ida Engberg), the Label Night events at ADE and beyond. He plays Awakenings regularly; the 808 Festival Bangkok set in 2024 and the Awakenings x Drumcode ADE set the same year are both on the site. What people come back to about Beyer sets is the deliberateness. He doesn't rush. There's no sentimentality and no concessions to the crowd, which is exactly what the crowd that follows Drumcode is looking for.
